I think he will definitely marry Anne. The novel is about the trouble with their (Anne and his) relationship and I really hope that we don't read the whole book and he ends up with the wrong girl.
I also think that he will end up marrying Anne. It is made clear that they still think about each other and their past. Although things have changed, it seems as though their feelings for one another have not.
Did the relationship between Captain Benwick and Louisa surprise you? Do you think that this could change what you though the outcome of the novel could be?
Because Captain Wentworth had a previous relationship (kind of) with Louisa, I had predicted that he and Anne had no chance of being together. However, now that Captain Benwick and Louisa are together, that leaves Wentworth alone. I am now predicting that somehow Anne and Wentworth will end up with each other.
Yes this relationship did surprise me, I thought that Louisa and Wentworth's (sort of) relationship would last a little longer and be an obstacle that Anne and Wentworth would have to overcome. Now that Wentworth is single though I believe that it will be Anne in the (sort of) relationship with Mr. Elliot. This way both of them have see the other with another and realized who they truly like, each other.
I have to say I was pretty sure Anne and Wentworth would end up together from the start, yet I agree with Hannah that I thought Louisa would interfere with their relationship longer than she did. Louisa and Benwick's engagement certainly did cause a surprise, for one, it came out of the blue, and two, they are so different from each other. However, if you think about they both really needed a significant other to care for them, so they both satisfy their shared longing.
I was totally surprised by the true nature of Mr.Elliot, I never saw that comming. Though at the same time I am glad that he stepped in a stopped Ms. Clay from pursuing Sir Elliot. So I cannot decide if I like or dislkie Mr. Elliot.
I was surprised as well. I figured he would be something totally different from what he turned out to be. However, I'm glad that Anne did not end up marrying him. Overall, I was pleased with the ending.

I think Captain Wentworth will end up marrying Anne, but there will no doubt be lots of drama with Louisa before that ever happens.
